When ever I turn SWCH off, it causes a spark to travel from each end. I'm not sure if this is normal, but it never did it on previous versions of TPT and it is very annoying! ;D

I can't see any differences from previous versions in SWCH behaviour. Can you provide an example save?

perhaps your switch has a SPRK jump next to the NSCN.

when you save something, or open a save (where all the commments are) there should be a number at the bottom. That is your save ID. Now copy it by clicking on it, paste it here with a ~ infront of it.
