I'm sorry to make a new thread all together but this is really important
This is the most concrete chance to change a fundamental dynamic of the way our government operates that I have ever seen. Jason Russell is absolutely correct in his assertion that (up to now) it has always been “the big money” that has determined the efforts of our politicians.“We the People” has morphed into “We the Power Players”. Every American voter has seen this play out before our eyes as we have been further and further removed from the consciousness of the very people who determine the course of our future. This grass roots effort has the potential to give that power back to the people. The “people” are you, me, and everyone who cares enough to care.If we as a culture of living, breathing, citizens cannot see the importance of this effort to bring to an end this horrific atrocity against these children, then I fear that the “feel good – look good” hypnosis from our media “handlers”, that cause us to want to buy cosmetics to make us look good, and sports cars that makes us go fast while looking good, have already taken from us our most precious human trait – our compassion. It is not just our future that is at stake. It is the future of our children and their children, in other words -your grandchildren. If they grow up in a world where all can watch debauchery, depravity, and vicious mutilation on “You Tube” and yet feel no unction to tear down the gates of hell to stop it, then Christians have lost Christianity, humans have lost humanity, society has lost sanity, and we have lost our souls. It is past time to change the course of human destiny and get involved with the human race. It is time to engage a government that, up to now, has seemed to be unable to hear us, or see these invisible children.
"Civilians in Uganda and central Africa may have to pay a steep price in their own lives so that a lot of young Americans can feel good about themselves, and a few can make good money. " -Adam Branch, Social Sciences Professor, Makerere University, Uganda.
