I know i make a bunch of chemistry threads, but i just got a bunch of lab glassware and i am buying a magnetic stir plate, and i have no idea whatsoever of what i should do with it. So post cool chemical reactions that will not explode or really do any harm. Also post fun stuff to do with a vacuum pump.

I know you said nothing explosive, but what about flame throwing? 3 parts KNO3 to 5 parts sugar. Fry it like you are browning sugar and let it harden. Take outside and light with a lighter.

    Fire aluminium, you'll get AlO
then melt it (~ 3000°), then electrolyse, you''ll get Al2O3
then put it into vacuum pump, and vapourize it by low pressure
    After cooling youll get rubies

Umm... Thanks but i was looking for some higher levels of simplicity. 10 years old and i only have acess to easily purchaseable chemicals.

With a vacuum pump decrease the temperature of a liquid (or air) untill it becomes very cold (around -200 celcius) then you could make a super conductor ;D.

@MasterMind-It makes flames, and big ones. Trust me.
