What on earth is happening to TPT.

Are we doomed to the same fate as falling sand?
Their entire modders and DEV base dried up, and now over the course of the last 2 years we've lost the following dev's"
    Cracker-64
    AntB
    maksprog
    murtaugh
    HK6
    cctvdude

Whats happening? Normaly an influx of users replace these, however as of late, this is not happening, the number of users increased while devs and modders fell. Whos going to replace our Infrastructure, with less modders / dev's production slows down, slower upldates mean less users, Less users results in what I call the Falling Falling sand effect.

Cracker-64 is still around (last post being a few days ago) and AntB (under a different name now) is still around (last post being in december).
Other than that, there seems to be many modders. You can't expect people to stick around TPT for extended periods of time.

Many people just have to do something else with their lives than sit on TPT.

True that may be, I dont sit all day on it, but certainly you can see why i'm concerned.

Fingers crossed that if this does get abandoned, the servers stay running in some form.

I drop in and read when I am bored, but am starting to find this game boring aswell, there is some longevity in this game, but once it has gone, its gone.

I made a pledge to myself a while back, I will keep hold of the source if this goes down, and when I am after a project, I may (Massive Maybe) do a bit of development, but it all depends.

Personally, I only use the forums... I haven't played TPT for quite a few months.

I'm still here, but haven't done much with the code recently, also HK6 was not a modder or dev, just a moderator.
TPT still has very active development, from Simon and jacksonmj, check the github.
TPT is actually being converted to C++ right now, which is where most of Simon's work is currently.
