7 New Element Ideas

I was thinking of some elements that would be interesting to see in TPT, and came up with a list of elements, which were screened out as much as possible to (hopefully) ensure no negative save interactions occur with them. Of the 12 elements I started with, 7 remain. I did some research on them so they would be as realistic as possible. (As far as TPT goes). I also have an idea for another element, CADM, which I think is very interesting but it may or may not work.

    Americium [AMCM] (Radioactive)
A radioactive solid that creates SPRK when in contact with SMKE and decays into ELEC under high pressure. Melts at 1176C. Can be created in small quantities when URAN is in contact with NEUT.

    Silver [SIVR] (Electronics)
Conducts electricity twice as fast as METL (life of 2 after SPRK'ed) and absorbs NEUT. Melts at 962C.

    Tungsten [TUNG] (Electronics)
Same conductivity as METL. If TUNG is SPRK'ed with a 1 pixel thick layer of GLAS touching it, TUNG glows yellow-white. Immune to ACID. Melts at 3422C.

    Lead [LEAD] (Electronics)
Creates SPRK when in contact with ACID. Immune to ACID. Melts at 327C. Has a life of 6 after SPRK'ed.

    Iodine [IDNE] (Gasses)
Turns any water type into DSTW and creates ACID when in contact with GAS. Deposits (opposite of sublimation) into SIDN at 179C.

    Solid Iodine [SIDN] (Solids)
Solid form of IDNE. Sublimates into IDNE at 180C.

    Barium [BARM] (Explosives)
Explodes on contact with WATR and WTRV. Burns bright green with a temp of 2500C on contact with FIRE, PLSM, LAVA, OXYG, and LOXY.

I also have an idea for Cadmium [CADM], but the explanation for it is pretty long. I'll post it if you guys want.

The question any moderator will ask:
    Uses?

Yes, name the uses of these elements that are unique from others. That means bombs, games, and guns. Stuff like that is common. Unique uses are needed.

    @Lynxrufus (View Post) Exactly (:

    mniip:

    Uses?
@mniip (View Post) If I were to list uses, people would assume I thought of the element being used for that reason only, therefore making it unsuitable for TPT. Like @Lynxrufus said, use your imagination.

That's not a reason to not name uses then everyone could name like *insert something* and give no reason why to add it. If you suggest I suppose you have uses for it and else it doesn't needs to be added.

@disturbed666 (View Post) See, that's a valid response.

If you absolutely must have reasons, then here you go. But remember the usage of these elements is not limited to what I have listed, but to your imagination.

    AMCM
-Acts as a detector wall tile for SMKE in particle form.
    -Generates ELEC.
    -Can be created from URAN.

    SIVR
-Conducts faster than METL, but slower than INST.
    -Absorbs NEUT.
-Can be used to minimize electrical relays. (For things like LCRY logos that light up in a certain sequence, for example.)

    TUNG
    -Lights, of course.
-Can be used to conduct electricity in ACID and high-heat situations.
-High melting point makes it useful for many things, like rocket nozzles for example.

    LEAD
-Conducts slower than METL, but faster than WATR. (But if not, it's still a solid instead of a liquid).
-Produces electricity from ACID, simulating a Lead-Acid battery.
-Low melting point, might need something like LQLD (Liquid Lead) to simulate it.

    IDNE and SIDN
-Purifies all water types into DSTW.
-Reacts with GAS to form ACID.
    -No liquid phase.

    BARM
    -Explodes, but burns too.
    -Intermediate tempurature.
-Only explosive that reacts with oxygen.

Of course you could employ these elements in more complex ways, which is why I originally didn't post uses. Sorry for the inconvenience. ^_^

@Lynxrufus (View Post) I wouldn't necessarily call them stupid, but a good imagination makes TPT a whole lot more fun.

Uses are needed to show some (but not all) of the possibilities of the elements to which the uses pertain. I can understand that. And it's true that anybody could post anything and not have valid reasoning behind their post. The only difference between an idiotic post and this one is that I had valid uses for these particular elements from the start and chose not to post them.

I think some of the uses you have listed are reactions not actual uses but are instead reactions.

SIVR's slow conduction rate is now somewhat obsolete as DLAY can conduct at any speed. I think you should focus a bit more on the nuclear radiation manipulation properties of it.

IDNE and SIDN aren't necessary for water purification as NEUT can do that as well. But I think it can be used as a temperature sensure.

TUNG's ACID conduction could possibly be coded by making it change ACID's tmp value to make it conduct, any SPRK with ctype of ACID with make nearby acid turn into SPRK(ACID).

LEAD's conduction rate is also obsolete due to DLAY, I think melting can just change it into molten lead. I think LEAD has a use as a timing mechanism

BARM should emit a certain amount of pressure when burning that way, it can use a life variable based burn time and detonate with pressure regardless of life.

I don't have much to say about ACMC seeing as all that needs to be said about it has been said.

It's the devs choice to code it not ours personally, I am apathetic to that matter.
