New wall - Pressure filter

I know this has been suggested before, but I think it is really needed. This wall would allow particals, but block pressure. Simple. And I think it would be very, very useful. For instance, it would allow the making of projectile guns more easy and effiient. At the moment you would need a muffler 10 times the size of the gun to neutralize the pressure, which is inefficient and looks clumsy. If this new wall was added, you could do all that in a very small space and work just as good.

You could also use it in nuclear reactors to deploy waste without loosing any pressure.

This idea would definatly work because particals don't need pressure to move! and I have primary source evidence for this-

it is possible! and I hope somebody will have a go at making it.

mhm ...i really need a wall that block pressure

Only problem here is, velocity relies chiefly on pressure to propogate. It can be generated otherwise, but largely fan walls are the the only thing that can actually do this with any success.

...if I recall correctly, they already made this kind of wall, but it was a failure. Game mechanics apparently don't like walls that block pressure but not solids. =/

Perhaps a better way would be a wall that lets pressure enter but not leave. So when you go into pressure mode you see the Red (or blue) on one side and inside of the wall but not on the other. Maybe that could work.
(Don't ask me, I dunno how this game works)

what if the wall blocked pressure, but allowed velocity? maybe that could work. Because velocity is what makes things move. I donno.

That would still severely limit its uses to being used in conjunction with fan walls from a distance. =/ Once velocity and pressure fail, the only thing that can pull particles are their own velocity and gravity, meaning that if another particle impedes the path they'll slow down. Probably a lot.

hmmm, there must be a way around this, nothing is impossible when it comes to programing, but thats not to say it's easy to do. If it were ever done, the whole air system would have to be re-written. Unfortunatly... proberbly =/ lol.

... Can you remove the sign about vote farms? >_>

Also, simply not letting pressure out of the wall would only turn it into a black hole.

All pressure does is tell velocity where to travel. And tells some chemical reactions when to happen.

    removed.

well... thats annoying, but I suppose you're right, if this idea can't be done, it simply can't be done. Obviously, the era of projectile weapons is now definatly limited to what we can achieve at the moment, I guess the best thing to do is invent another way of filtering pressure through the use of matrials we have now. -_-'

If the wall was placed horizontally and had particles falling top to bottom through it it could work.
