Why does acid set off explosives? Shouldn't it just eat away? Just wondering..

have a watch at this video here on Sulfuric Acid, it creates a MASSIVE amount of energy in this endothermic reaction.

As Rconover stated, some acids create quite a bit of heat when reacting, also it's just another way of igniting explosives.

That is sulfuric acid and sugar, it doesn't always react that way but sure it will usually produce some heat.

But for explosives like C4 you need a lot of heat and a strong shock wave not a bit of heat and no shock wave, yet in the game 1 drop of acid sets off an entire bundle of C4 (though so does a touch of fire...).

I don't think acid should ignite though.

Oops, I just read the description, lazy me :p

It seems most of the debate about acid is what type it is and what reactions that type has, maybe we should just go for "whatever is useful in game" instead?

Nah, Acid should definitely ignite stuff. Could you imagine Acid eating away at rubidium? It would make no sense.

Some technical things like acid "eating power" should not matter much at the moment. I think Acid is fairly accurate at the moment.

    But should itself really burn?
