Specific Element Decoration

I think there should be a way of decorating just specific elements, so, for example, you could but a dmnd layer around something and colour it black without affecting the rest of the save. I have come up with two possible ideas. The first is to make a console command such as <!set colour (or color for the Americans) <element> <hexadecimal code>>, but this would cover the whole screen. A better idea would be to have an option in the decoration layer where you could select a specific element to colour over (there is also an "all" selection, which is the default). Any thoughts?

I typed !set dcolor wood 000000 (which means black) and nothing happened.

You wood have to do "!set dcolor wood 0xFF000000" instead.

Check your spelling, especially when referencing a console command.  It's dcolour, not dcolor.
