As the title says i need help downloading music off of an Ipod touch fourth gen with 4.3.5 software

i WANT to update to Ios 5 but i dont have a copy of all my music anymore

does any1 know of a way to get to the music or a program that works ?

it doesnt seem to let me -_-

that or i somehow missed soemthing

EDIT: i didnt buy it from itunes tho

i didnt buy rly ANY of my music from itunes

i got it from other sources then stuck it on my comp though itunes, only problem is i dont have those copies of the music anymore

im running the transfer purchases thing anyways to atleast get the apps i bought, theres a small chance itll take the music with it

EDIT: it seems to only be transferring apps

and the biggest problem with it is somehow Apple makes the ipod get displayed as JUST a camera, it wont even let you have access to the memory on it, it only lets you access the pictures

well the only sync music checkbox i can find tells me it replaces all the music on the ipod with whatever musics in the folder the folder i choose...

i tried one program i found recommended after searching it on Google but it couldnt find the ipod because the whole "only shows it as a camera" thing

it said to click the "disk access" (or something like it) but there WASNT a checkbox like it where it said it would be, or anywhere i looked either
