Ubuntu issues

I just got a new computer (with Ubuntu, of course), and the first thing I did after setting it up was to download Powder Toy, to test its performance. Even after installing all the libraries necessary for compiling, I still get this error:
./powder64: error while loading shared libraries: liblua-5.1.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory(Yes, I have made sure that library is installed)
Is there any difference between what is needed to compile and what is needed to run?

I had that error too. Nothing major, just make a symlink in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ named liblua-5.1.so to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/liblua5.1.so.0 -

But yes, it is. If a post is hidden, please always do your best to ignore it entirely.
Also, did you fix it? What wolfy1339 said is what you need to do, different distributions have some different names for the lua library. I'm not sure on the exact command to make a symlink ... -
No, I haven't gotten it to work yet.
EDIT: It can run in Wine, there's no lag with the i7, but sadly, tpt.setfpscap can only get it up to 400
Also, @jacob1, I can run your mod just fine, how did you compile it differently?
