Drawings shouldn't be allowed

TPT is not Microsoft Paint, it's a game for simulating physics and chemistry.  I feel like when people upload picture saves, they're just cluttering the pages with irrelevant content, as if it was DeviantArt.

I don't mean to just rant, however.  I am posting this thread because I am curious about how many other people share my opinion.  I was suprised when I tried looking for posts asking about the same thing, but couldn't find any - nor do any of the forum rules address this issue.

The moderators already actively remove art-only saves from the front page. Taking more aggressive actions such as unpublishing or deleting all art saves is a bit of an overkill.

Entirely deco art saves are not allowed on the front page, but besides that I don't mind what people do. They can publish saves for whatever they want as long as it doesn't break any rules.

Art saves tend to get demoted from the front page very quickly.

Hehehe >:), you mean like this...

don't worry I know what you mean, sometime they can be a bit boring... you look at them once and just ignore them as if it was a post of nothing. but really I think it's more about save interaction... I miss the old arcade type saves, complex reactors and any thing else in between. those save that really burnt time :P I think people must make things interactive, but also use deco to enhance the look as if it was real. slug and buysBD are excellent examples of this. THEY LOOK SOOO INDUSTRIALLY COOL!!!

even with my art save i've posted no one seemed to have played around with it and seen some hidden messages in it 0.0...

    Art should be forbidden.
    Should we forbid music?
Should we destroy all art galleries?
    Should we destroy our cultures?
Deco saves have as much of a right to be on FP as other saves.

Art is not banned, in the sense that you can create art saves if you want, but I always remove art saves from the FP. Saves that do not use any of the features of the game are extremely dull, and Powder Toy saves are a terrible image format. If something could equally well be shared as a static image, you should really be sharing it as a static image instead.

Art is in fact mentioned in the rules, http://tpt.io/.247148 #8:

"This also relates to art on the front page. Art saves that only rely on the deco layer are generally removed. Art using elements may stay longer if it's more impressive."

     Banning Art?

Are you insane everything you do in The Powder Toy is art...

    @Factorial (View Post)

    He's being sarcastic.

Should we form a sport called Sarcastaball- Randy Marsh (from South Park.)

Should we forbid The Powder Toy? since it's cluttered with saves that are art?

Users that make deco art should be perma banned! -(M) that was sarcasem!

You have no room to talk, you don't even have a save published yet sir.
