But by then, a save would be buried by all the other new saves, and no one would see it (or vote on it.)

At the moment, you need to upload/re-upload a save when the TPT community is most active, and not everyone knows when that is.

Ten votes is too much, 5 in a week. Votes are hard to get as not as many people are playing TPT now, and some people are stupid and don't appreciate saves.

Edit: No, I did not just describe myself, I give criticizm on what needs to be fixed, and I do upvote worthy saves, so yeah...don't try.

My thoughts are that if a buried save still amasses that many votes it is bound to be good. Just because it isn't an attention seeking missile doesn't mean it can't be promoted.

I will edit the post to 5 votes. However I do believe this will result in the front page in updating too much. Perhaps if a save does receive more than 10 votes in a week without making it can go in the queue for the top row?

    Note: Edited anyway

How about 7 votes, one vote a day.

The problem with this is that no one except a few people go on by date to look at new saves, so.....My saves are ok, but I made them months ago and they still only have 10- votes...  ;(

Sounds about right. I left the description as 5-10 votes for the community to make their personal choice.

When a save gets to about 7 votes, the owner has to make the choice of whether to republish the save and aim for the big pedestal or keep the small token appreciation they already have.

Saves that reach this stage are usually quite good, and will increase the standard of the front page.

Good idea, but some saves get a massive amount of votes in a short time even if it is not on fp (Mostly because it is made by a popular user/ Contain something awsome) while some equally deserving saves hardly get any votes even after a month.

And then there are haters who act as the upvote button is non-functional, downvoting every save they see.

I say people who cast a large amount of downvotes in a small amount of time (say, 10 a day) should be temp banned.

Well what if you see a bunch of saves that suck, though, is a problem, but even I don't care about those, so good idea.

Well, we need a mod here. Or dev, doesn't really matter.

I think the first and second row should have a special feature that requires you to have x votes to get fp. X will change based on how many fp you gotten before and/or what your average vote count is. It will regulate the amount of super pros from the fp.

Also I think fp saves should have a time limit, that will keep fp flowing.
