A question about game threads

If you or anyone has a game thread and lets say its old and its possibly over a month old and you want to comment on it because its a game and you might want to get it started up a little after a while, would commenting be necro and against the rules, or does that not apply to game threads since you cant really say anything relative on it because you are playing a game... ?

Oh not really one in particular right now, I was just asking because I had been thinking about it for a while.

If the thread died that probably means the community stopped liking the game, or the thread just got ridiculous (R.I.P. adventure thread), so you might not have luck starting it back up even if you wanted to.

often it is not the best idea to resurrect a thread with two feet in its grave, rather creating a new one with the same logic might work too?
