I'm not sure if this is right forum, but I'm have got an Idea:
You can add to TPT Charcoal. Charcoal will create from wood under very big pressure. Charcoal would have the same properties as normal coal, but burns faster.
This is such a minor change to COAL I really don't think it can be considered. As for WOOD turning into COAL under pressure is a bit more realistic, and has been asked before many times.
charcoal is very diferent from coal in terms of chemical structure. it is made by slow pyrolisis of carbon based substances like wood. which is a process that doesn't necessarily require pressure, just high temperatures and limited amounts of oxygen. it burns hotter than coal too, aswell as less smoke emitted. other than that they are very similar and used for pretty much the same things. It will need to have alot more unique properties to even stand a chance of being added.
Charcoal is a component of gunpowder, along with sulphur and KNO3, but producing fireworks may be a bit odd. Nevertheless, if KNO3 (potassium nitrate) was added as an element, it would be useful for a variety of explosives.
