The Annoying *Title was too long*

Can we have a longer title?
Or at least check it in real time...shorten my title again and again and again after hit the post button is so frustrating
Something like onblur="if(this.value.length > 45)alert('Your title is too long :'+this.value.length)" would be good
BTW, my original title is
"Your title is too long" is too annoying
witch is only 40 char long, but I still got the "too long, must no longer than 45 char" thing.

that's strange, but maybe it's just that the error message is broken. Maybe the limit really is 40 characters, but it says it's 45 in the message for some reason. Simon would know more about this. -
