Tpt breakdown

I think the tpt community needs something to boost it up again. Back in version 46 or close to it this game had  everything. All of the fundemental elements this game has now were their just about. Not only that a new great update would be their every other week. Now instead of that every other week you see a new thread about someone leaving. I yhink it is because no big updates have happened lately. AS the community of the powdertoy I think we need to fix up the community. Recruit members make mods. Maybe even groups. Bring it to your schools. With tpt++ coming out I can only imagine what the c program will be left to. But either way we as the community must help  to fix up the community and add more members.

I'd suggest you get a shield to protect yourself from the "flaming arrows" because everybody's going to say "There's nothing wrong with it get a life." But it's your opinon.

There will probably be lots of cool new updates once tpt++ comes out, and then it might be back to normal again. Maybe lots of new elements will start being added, even if they aren't as useful as other things; or many cool new features will be made (this I know for sure, Simon has some stuff planned). tpt was also planned to go onto desura, i'm not sure if it already has, but that would bring more members.

I am wondering what will happen when tpt++ comes out. What will happen to C. Who is going to manage it after c++ version is released and perfected.

It will be gone, the c++ version has everything the c version does, so it won't be needed. All of the mods will be outdated, and so new ones will have to be created. It's possible i'll add the new c++ elements to my c mod, at least for a while, but i'm not sure yet. That would allow people to transition while there's still bugs, or if they don't like tpt++ they can use that and still open new saves. Once I think my tpt++ mod is good enough, I won't update the tpt one anymore. Also, i don't know when new elements will even start being added to it.

With C++ being more advanced, I would like to see it replaced once proven and tested. If it does show it can be sustained with more worthwhile features, then yes it will be replaced. Seeing we can't possibly keep 2 developer teams on 2 separate projects.

yeah, I agree with Lockheedmartin, It would be way to confusing for people new to powdertoy if their are 2 different versions :( I also think updating doesn't always keeps people playing, because when powder toy was big at my school, everyone played it at first, but then People stoped playing it mainly out of boredom, I think.
