If you're using HYGN as the reactant, you will need to make it at least 50 pressure and 2000c or hotter. For other gasses such as NBLE, you will need higher temperatures and pressures. HYGN however is flammable, so the fusion has to be quick.

Use TTAN as part of the bomb shell to block all pressure and INSL to insulate the bomb. To get to these conditions quickly, people will use an ignition nuke that's strong enough to get the reaction going, but small enough to leave the power of the bomb to the fusion.

Use supercooled DEUT, it works nicely on my fusion bombs.

You need really really hot HYGN and loads of pressure.

You would also need a bit of ELEC to make HYGN to start the reaction.

I sort of use a more simple design, i just put 1 pixel of NEUT somewhere in the DEUT, then watch the fusion reaction take over.

The one without an automatic trigger has the best results than the one with the trigger.

You could also have some PBCN on the outside of the bomb spreading ELEC around then simply detonate a NEUT based bomb. The ELEC and NEUT combine into the HYGN that is the fuel for fusion.
