The sign spells good and evil in the same word. It's kinda supposed to show how there can be both good and evil in a person, depending on how you look at them.
EDIT: Okay this save just got removed from the front page. I don't understand why because this does have a bit of electronics. And according to Catelite (https://powdertoy.co.uk/Discussions/Thread/View.html?Thread=14508) a save should be okay as long as it isn't a block of diamond and has a circuit or two :(

I like that. It shows symbolism and parallels to human beings and human character.
The simple fact that a human can have two sides, a evil one and a good one, is reflected in this save, also, the save demonstrates that one must go though obstacles (ex like pressing the red button, which also has its own set of symbolism and allusions) to see the true character of a human. Creating the save in a brick wall also shows how character is set it stone, but being able to change the state of the liquid crystal shows that it is also in its own way changeable
