rad counter

What if we could count radiation using the rad unit. It would be like mesuring pressure or heat. The radiation could be mesured like it was a bubble, the farest it is the lower the radiation. And metals would absorve it or block it.

This is just a idea from a person WITHOUT, Nuclear experience !!! So don't complain if i said someting rong.

You can also add some ideas about radiation.

    Thanks for " listening "

I and others have made devices that do such a thing. I don't have any presentable saves but if you look up radiation or meter, those being the key words in the search bar, you may find a few saves that count radiation particles.

I think he means a new pressure-like background effect where radioactive materials would emit "radiation" which wood travel through the air a certain distance from its source, while weakening as it moved further out. It would essentially function like pressure.

More like Newtonian Gravity, but huh.

I suppose you could use neutrons, those are countable and work well..

If it was possible to count neutrons it would need the radioactive material to release those neutrons, bacause they look very stable...

yet radiation itself is photons or neutrons, so nothing is wrong.

I made a quick version of a neutron counter here:

     http://pastebin.com/BpKaVxaR

It works by grids, so the results might be kind of aproximative, I'll be making a better version soon

    EDIT:

    Here it is: http://pastebin.com/yyCS9262

It checks the amount of neutrons 30 pixels around the cursor. You can change the radius in the code to scale the detector how you want.

Where do I insert that text ?

You must make a new file in the same directory as PT's .exe and name it "autorun.lua". Make sure it is "autorun.lua" and not "autorun.lua.txt". You just put my script into that file, save, and reopen PT.

Don't mean to be rude, but I had an idea almost exactly like this, but more complex.

Edit: Lol, didn't read Reaper's post. Reaper and I may collaborate our ideas into one thread.
