This idea is about making a new category, Eletromagnetic Waves. These go through all or nearly all particles and have different uses. Instead of a temperature they have a frequency. Every one of these weakens a bit over time depending on the type. Each moves like pressure but passes things instead of bouncing off. A exception to this is INSL and SHLD. These also weaken if they pass through particles.
Radio waves(RDWV) - These get emmited by Radio emmiters and get received by Receivers. The frequency weakens by 1 every pixel
Radio emmiters (RDEM) emmit radio waves if sparked. The radio wave frequency is the same as the temp of it. It has no melting point but only burns like INSL.
Receivers (RECV) create a spark if hit by a radio wave with a frequency higher than its temperature. Has no melting point like INSL too.
Microwaves(MCWV) - These heat particles up if it passes through them. Frequency reduces by 5 every pixel. Emmited by microwave emmiters.
Microwave emmiters (MWEM) are like RDEM except they emmit microwaves.
Gamma rays(GMRY) - These act like neutrons except they are in eletromagnetic wave form. Frequency reduces by 15 each pixel.
Gamma ray emmiter (GREM) - Emmit gamma rays. Similar to both emmiters.
Uses: Radio wave - Limited space/ destroyable WIFIs, tv stations, detecting SHLD and INSL objects without distraction/ eliminates the problem of it changing angle and stopping the sonar from working.
Microwave - Heating which doesn't need to be connected to the thing it's heating, equal heating, better heating if timed.
Gamma rays - Radiation which can pass through most objects (like real radiation).
@CCXL(View Post) Radio waves can easily be replaced by WIFI and/or PRTI/PRTO, and because of no moving solids, the decreasing would be impractical. Microwaves can partially be replaced by PHOT/NEUT. Gamma rays are in fact high-energy photons, so try that. Also, just a tip: there's no "radiation" element in real life, there are just various waves/particles emitted, such as alpha particles(He2+), photons, neutrons, electrons, ...
Wi-Fi is destructable with pressure... You don't need emmiters for each element. You can use PCLN or if you want the emmiting to be done in a certain way suggest one element called EMTR which emmits its c-type but why not use PCLN? I like the electromagnetic spectrum and I am sorry to say that your radiowaves had been rejected a long time ago: Given reason: Use Wi-Fi.
@tavninder(View Post) Like what? What he has there is a pretty solid (pun ^.^) group of elements that would be useless, insane to make, or just plain 'can be made with other elements'
Then again, we all remember what happened with mercury... But that is rare, don't get your hopes up anytime soon Unless there is a total recode of the game Which may never happen But there are rumors That are lies Like cake
@CCXL(View Post) I do not know how desperate you want these elements in the game, but if you really want to, you're gonna have to make up more substantial reasons than that :/ plus, if you know how to, make a mod! It increases your chances ;)
@boxmein(View Post) It's possible without moving solids, have you seen the radio waves mod?
Look NMD/Boxmein I feel that having clouds, virus and switchable batteries would be cool because...
- Clouds (would be cool because they simulate weather. You rejected it because you think that the element steam is a cloud)
-Virus (would be cool because you could change an element into another without having to remove it and apply the other(would be a tool) You rejected it because you think that there are no uses)
-Switchable batteries (would be cool because you would have the power to turn your power source on and off. You rejected it because you can make your own but you didn't reject salt water but you can make your own salt water)
This is why i think you should rewrite your rejected list because the list is biased.
@tavninder(View Post) Virus has been coded into two different mods and it's in a Java powder simulator. To the dev team, it seems kind of unnecessary. Not sure about nowadays though... Clouds are technically water vapour and as bad as it can be, most likely will be ignored. Switchable batteries are really easy to make.
I may re-write the rejects list, but I was tired of listening to tens of requests of the same element. They were cut out from the wiki and nobody reads the wiki anyways so I made a spreadsheet instead.
