Would this be at all useful in TPT?

Doing some experimenting, do ignore the water turning into Broken metal, that is not intentional

Here's an example of stress over a whole city

Note to self: Simon always edits his scerenshots. All of them must have drop shadow. ALL OF THEM.
    Also, ooooh! :D

But, would the BMTL break if the unsupported area if there's at least 1 pixel thick DMND supporting it?

wow, this might just be the best thing since heat simulation!

    Just a small question:
Does this work with different gravity settings? (I asume not)

i would assume it is planned or done already.

That's just the default way OS X does screenshots (Command+Shift+4 then Space), on Windows I use an awesome utility called Shotty which makes really nice screenshots and sits in the system tray

No, Materials like DMND and Wall are indestructible and can support anything.

Not at the moment, it is fixed for the default vertical gravity

If this gets finished, it will most likely be a separate options (Like Heat Simulation) with an additional scale parameter

I'm glad my algorithm works so well :), now just to get it working in the bloody minecraft engine -_-. And I really am impressed at how quickly you ported that over simon, with everything else you have going on thats just wow :O

Also a footnote on a wiki page saying that I'm partially responsible for the stress simulation in TPT would be nice :) (if it does get finished)

Thanks, and The algorithm could be adapted for all modes of gravity, although radial gravity would require **** loads of CPU and no gravity renders the algorithm pretty much useless.

If you're on Windows 7 you could also use the Snipping Tool which is totally built-in and allows for dragging screenshots, then copying them to clipboard or saving as PNG. Or HyperDesktop, which does the same thing and allows for instant uploading!

Neither of those tools preserve the fancy Aero effects like this:
