Yeah, -2 would be _so_ easy to achieve. Two users working on the new page, both downvote once, save is lost forever. -
Make it so that saves with three negative votes get put into a spam box, and the mods have the final say in what is deleted and what is reposted back into the public viewing area.
Also, all people who mark it as spam have their name next to the spam vote, that way if someone uses their account multiple times on all your saves or they use a bunch of other saves too, you can see the trend and ban those accounts used the spam button in a bad way. But then again, three votes is a lot, I don't usually waste my time at all on dumb saves, so it won't effect it much, but then if it is a legitimate save and not junk, it wouldn't be that hard for three trolls to go through and decimate all normal saves. Either way its a lose-lose situation.
Three spam votes and its gone, but it would then only take three people to get together and screw up all the normal saves. Its a hopeless cause, just give me minor Moderator powers, so I can ban whatever I deem unnecessary. Is that still a better idea? -
R3APER have you been listening to ANYTHING we have been saying? we propose that saves marked as spam several times or getting too many - votes become private. that way the mods do NO WORK =) and that is what will get this idea into tpt.ALSO i changed the original post so that saves that make fp are EXEMPT from the privatization b/c trolls will mark them as spam for lolz

Wouldn't it just be easier to limit the number of saves a user can publish per day, or set it so that saves which have already been published cannot be made more recent? or something? o.o;
Hiding saves because of being useless is kind of weird, frankly. Just because a save is retarded doesn't mean we should go -hide- it suddenly. =/ I mean I can understand that the purpose of the game is entertainment, but doesn't it seem slightly bizzare to add code to the server and the game using criteria for detecting stupid saves, or even to allow a button that could easily be expoited to hide people's saves on a whim regardless of how we work it?
The notion of essentially giving users a 'delete' button does not set well with me. :(
