@Jenn: trudat @shinoda: That's not what I meant. I meant art should be mostly made manually, a mound of sand with the sand effect or a blend tool gradiented block should not get front page. Art that use those but also use manual work should.
You are going to have to get used to it. People like art saves. And when people like art saves, they will vote those saves up. Doesn't matter how easy they are to make, they will vote up anyways since it is a pealing to the eye. People like eye candy more than they like functionality it seems these days. A for instance is the exploding CD.
>edit: removed pointless mockery. At everyone. The Internet is being more used as a tool for entertainment these days. Informational and "smart" websites and communities are easily overwhelmed by the two-second "whoa" or "cool" pictures. Take advice animals or memes for example. First they were awesome, then they became SO OVERUSED, that's when I unsubbed from r/adviceanimals, r/funny, r/WTF, r/f7u12 and similar. I can't stand them anymore. Just cause. Go ahead, use them. I won't mind. Draw your fancy art with no effort at all. Just that, it filters out the real good content of this community. Thank you for reading this far.
