Their is no way to stop a persistent person. If they truly love their idea you can't stop them. Hours of your life could end up locked in this thread. And for what? You won't accomplish anything. You will just waste time. If you know it won't work out give constructive critism.

I have an idea, how about we all take a step back, stop giving a flying f*** about this stuff and realise this is a desktop SIMULATION. Any that didn't were worthwhile and were supported by a majority of users.
