Why do explosives sometimes just burn fast?

    Well they are displayed at the same time but not calculated at the same time, there are multipe calculations per frame

    EDIT: good news! TNT was just implemented in the beta. TNT explodes all at once, from any direction

    Guys, this game functions on cellular automata. The lack of instant explosion is both a feature and a glitch, and it's not even exclusive to fire, or to this game.

    I wonder if that was they implemented that in response to my comment on C-4 and other explosives?

    ummmm....if there was no ground it would explode in all directions....rockets and nukes do it in the air....
