Photons weren't white. They were pale green.
And different colours will move differently. For example, bending red light around BHOL is different to bending blue light around BHOL, right?
    !gafboon
They were pale green in version 39 point something. They were white since.
Why on earth would they bend differently? They may look like they bend differently after going through glass, but that's because of refraction.

Lolno. They were only white since version 64.
You open up version 61.2 (which was the release version prior to v64, I think) and you will see they are pale green.
Haven't we had little incidents where you've been ignorant about the game which you never seem to play before, with the gas-wall thing? Oh yeah, we have. This is yet more proof you never play the game that you are suposedly some elite at. The first bit of proof was that you didn't see a user who's saves were on the front page for 6 weeks in a row.
Some guy who actually plays the game knows what he's talking about, Neospector.

Right. You say yourself that the strength has never changed, right? So what has changed? The only thing that has changed in photon bending saves is the standard, default colour of photons.

Open this save up in v61. Then open it up in the current version.
It wasn't the strength of the BHOL, you said so yourself. So what was it then?

Edit: Nevermind, the save won't open in v61, but you get the idea.

You mean the supposed gas wall breakage that only broke because you and others were abusing a glitch, which is basically asking for the saves to be broken in the first place?
If you wish to prove that they were green, post a picture; versions 64 and 61.2 are not available to download from the download page, and I find it highly unlikely that you kept your old versions.

I have been looking at the beta and current builds. Strength has not increased nor decreased. And it would be pointless to change in the first place.

I have all my previous versions since version 44.6, actually. :)

And I did not say strength had increased or decreased. I said it hadn't increased or decreased.

And I was actually on the IRC when Simon said he was going to 'fix' photon colour.

    Thank you.
The posts now agree that strength hasn't increased or decreased, which was the point of the thread.

From what I remember from the IRC conversation, I think Skylark chose not to add lights that aren't visible to the human eye, resulting in a greeny colour (disclaimer: if I recall correctly :P - checking the logs would be a nightmare, I have no idea when it was).

well with all the "don't do this or it will break saves" it's kinda strange they changed this -_-.

but i'm not going to blame anyone for it.

All light is bent around a black hole with the same force.

    Then what HAS happened?

the change in the resolution of the gravity velocity maps.
