We'd be long gone before the Sun rapidly expands and envelopes the Earth (it's not large enough to go supernova, only to slowly expand into a red giant then shrink into a dwarf star). The sun wouldn't even hit us to wipe us out, it's heat would vaporise all of Earth's water and incinerate almost all life on Earth in roughly 1 billion years-2 billion years as it would've expanded and as it dies will become incredibly hot. Basically we need to run away to another solar system in a billion years, when I say we I'm guessing a bit as we could already have been wiped out and super intelligent badgers could have inherited the Earth.
@EqualsThree(View Post) As i said we could already be long gone, we would have to survive longer than any other species in history to be walking around a billion years from now.
