hi all, i'm posting this thread in general section...
    i NEED these:
    -offline GPS app for android
-Lebanon map included (please make sure)
    -full POI for lebanon<---this is needed<br />
    so far i tried these:
sygic aura, navigon, locus pro, and garmin (actually there is no garmin for android, i just put this for people not to suggest this)
these apps above don't have lebanon maps (except for locus), but locus doesn't have POI... so i downloaded a lebanon POI file, but it wasn't as good as the garmin's (on WM)

please tell me if there is an app out there
and give me accurate description, not just a link... thanks

google maps is online, (or cached)
    it doesn't have POI
    and navigation needs internet...
    mapquest... i'll search for it

EDIT: tried mapquest... it can't be run offline... and i can't download maps, and doesn't have POI

well the google maps app SHOULD let you save sections of the map for offline use, i know it works in the US atleast and i wouldnt think it would be any different anywhere else

navigation (the "this-is-where-you-are-now-go-here" type) is humanly impossible offline

and POI im rly not sure about

if ALL else fails just go buy a map and a pen and mark the POI's yourself :P

OK, Google maps doesn't have navigation nor POI in Lebanon... proof:
    http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=172221&topic=25480
as you can see, there is US in the list, but no Lebanon...
navigation is humanly possible offline, my family have the same phone (brother, mother and father) they all have windows mobile, and Garmin works OFFLINE with full POI and navigation... but there is no Garmin for android, if you find Garmin for android (which is impossible) tell me...

    any other helpful suggestion?

when i said navigation is humanly impossible offline i meant its impossible to have turn by turn directions becuase you need to have connection to tell your location
