I know, I know, Coal with Pazazz (WTF) is he talking about.
Its simple, the other day I was playing another Pixel Fav of mine called Pocket Tanks. This game is a turned base artillery game with over the top weapons. One of these weapons is called Burning Coal. Basicaly when you fire the weapon a shower of of pixelated coal is hurtled at your enemy. Then right before the coal lands on your target it ignites on fire and glows for a few seconds with a brilliant orange color. <-- At that moment it hit me. Why doesn't the Coal and Broken Coal in TpT glow. I will explain further below.<br /> I believe that both the solid and powder forms of Coal should go through changes under certain circumstances.
For Instance. When Coal/Broken Coal is heated it should give off an orange glow, just a slight one. Even when its not burning. It could be speculated that this glow get more white in Hue as the temperature rises but Im just happy with an Amber Colored Glow.
Next. When coal is burning it should go through another state change. This is simple to understand for all of you who have used charcoal. While observing charcoal as it burns you will notice that it changes in Color from Black to about Grey-White.
So when one pixel of Coal/ Broken Coal burns it should get lighter in color with each release of fire. Until it emits its last flame.
I know this is more polish work for the Powder Toy devs, who have bigger issues to work. And that this may be against Lockheedmartin's PSA
5)Next, check if your idea is too realistic. We don't get paid to make another world.
But I figured since all the other elements in TpT have some degree of Pazazz (I Know its a Noobish Word) I would suggest it and see the reaction.
You mean Pizazz? It's really easy to add PROP_HOTGLOW to BCOL/COAL. I'm also pretty sure someone would be bored enough to pop in a graphics change for BCOL and COAL.
I like it. The other day, I was heating some coal in TPT and thinking about how coal might be improved. It seems like it shouldn't be difficult to code.
@Comsquaddelta(View Post) Its a necesity for coal. When you think of coal, you will always think of burning red hot glowing embers. This is a good basic Idea to add to the ever growing complexity of tpt. I support this.
