Naquadah = Stargate movie -> Stargate:SG1 -> Stargate Atlantis -> Stargate Universe ( i think anyways, its almost certain that they atleast mention it once or twice)

It is usefull for electronics & explosive (like nukes) improvement.
Anyway, it doesnt hurt to have it in powder toy.
