Low Temperature LAVA!

    So recently I was trying out my antimatter cutting gun, when I noticed something strange: The metal that it was cutting was just melting away, even though it was at a nice 21.85 C! So I captured a bit of it, increased the size (by copy and paste), started examining it. This is what I have from it:

    It appears to generate pressure at about .5 per second for some reason... (No, I did not simply disguise some VENT with the decoration layer)

    Also, it stays liquid no matter what you do to it.

    It appears to be a bug from the recent update. Heat sim is bugged or something, because it enabling it turns it to a solid again.
    It has no life count, and it's type is metal. Press D, mouse over to it on the save, and you can check for yourself.

    CONSOLE WAS NOT USED TO CREATE THIS!

    How did I discover this? I was experimenting with my antimatter cutting gun when I found it. Apparently, it only works one time on the save before you have to restart Powder Toy. Want to see it in action? Check it out!

    If you disable heat simulation, lava melts metal at any temperature.
    (Turn off the topmost option)

    In your antimatter gun, the gun cuts through and no melting happens. This could have been caused by the photon melting the metal.
    DUH!

    I know this. Explain why in the antimatter gun save that it melted when there was no lava in the first place then.

    @tothemyers
    Turning off the heatsim allows LAVA to be cooled to any temperature... -_- It's not a bug, it's just the way the game is made. As when Heatsim is off, it doesn't calculate any temperatures.
    The second one I CBA opening.

    You what opening it? Explain CBA please...

    Why then does the LAVA produce .5 pressure every second then?!

    Uh. Your .5 pressure may be caused by the pressure grid.
    Like:

    1.---------2.--------3.
    000000|- - - - - -|++++++
    000000|- - - - - -|++++++
    000000|- - - - - -|++++++
    1. Normal pressure
    2. Antimatter causes low pressure
    3. Low pressure causes normal pressure to rush in and press together, creating high pressure.
    3.
    First:
    - - -
    - - -
    - - -
    Second
    + - +
    - - -
    + - +
    Third
    0 + 0
    + + +
    0 + 0

    Okay, I can see that for the gun save, but not for the save that has only the lava in it. There is no antimatter there.

    Erm, you just turned off heat simulation, reverting to legacy mode where heat is not simulated.

    I am fully aware of that, and have even put up a disclaimer on the save itself noting that. I am now also aware it is not a bug. The only thing I do not understand is why the LAVA generates pressure. boxmien explained the pressure for the Antimatter Cutting Gun save, but the explanation does not fit for just the LAVA alone in the first save.

    That is the only answer I am asking for now.

    That's what I told him!
    I can't understand why non-temperatured lava generates pressure.
