Yes indeed, NO one can exactly predict when the world will end. In 2012 there will be a solar maximum, which might make a blackout for 4-10 years....that might kill people but that could not end man kind as we know it. Also the moon is getting farther away every year!!

Where will humans go next? Such a big universe and not 1 place has been found to support {human} life. Really it's just a matter of time to where the next human civilization will begin. Only question is, where?

The moon is only moving away at 3 cm per year. The solar storm you are talking about is especially dangerous, given that the Earths magnetic field is failing and is nearly completely gone.
lol... it would appear Harold Camping's website is gone... I wonder why?

He faked the end of the world thing! that never happened. the earth's magnetic field is almost gone...OH NO!! And I'm surprised that the moon is moving away at that speed...

The earths magnetic field would be gone if the core cooled like Mars. All it's doing is a flip-flop of the poles.

so do we need to make a nuclear reaction that will make so much heat the magnetic field will be better again!

A nuclear reaction would probably just either do nothing or just blow it to bits, we just don't have the resources to heat something that big up really.

Wouldnt it also cause global warming? Which in this case is bad because that means the ozone layer would be completely depleted
