I basically spelled out for you a pretty long time ago that the mods actually look at most of the element suggestions that are made, and a large number of them actually get coded in and playtested. The fact that there aren't so many in the official version of the game is because most of those elements in actual application aren't the half as fun as they look on paper, if they even work at all.
...And even then, we have to keep the game running at decent speeds too, considering that with each update a small margin of people become unable to play the game due to steadily increasing lag. It's not our fault dude. :(
@Rock-(View Post) Seriously though, Antb's mod has quite a bit of what you want, and it works fine. And just because one program was made first in no way means it's the best. Furthermore, I tinkered with TPG. and trying to compare it to TPT is like trying to compare a cheap videogame with a college simulation program.
And @Catelite is right. Adding more elements requires more subroutines to be run to process the element and its interactions, thus decreasing the FPS.
@rrusciguy(View Post) To add onto that pile, TPT was designed by a dude who designed CPUs in his spare time. For fun. It was originally designated as a wind simulation game, and the fact that danball even has wind is probably because they stole it off of TPT honestly.
