Jacob1's Mod

    Hmm... I noticed something odd.

If you have powder, liquid, or gas particles moving at a high velocity for a long period of time, they start to... explode.

I'm fairly sure this is intentional but I'm just curious to know what's going on.

I'm posting this here because the only way I know of to do this is to use this mod's edge loop feature, along with SING. It might be possible to do in vanilla with some portal stuff but I don't know how nor do I feel like trying to set it up XD

    An example:

Maybe someone else can, but I can't replicate this. I think it may be something in the mod, but probably the only way to do it is through use of the edge-loop feature.

I have encountered another problem- When I select a element it dosen't always select first time- so sometimes i use the wrong element and have to do a lot of presise deleting

Hm, I tried searching around - how does one enable edge loop?

when I ran it it eventually all turned to LAVA, due to the massive amount of pressure and velocity and heat. Whatever is making it heat up is most likely intentional, maybe I can confirm that later.

Are you using Windows 8.1? If so, it's a windows bug. Mouse clicks sometimes don't get through SDL. Last time I checked I couldn't see any fix for it. I used to get that problem too, it was annoying.

Go into simulation settings (the check mark on the bottom), and use the "Edge Mode" dropdown

SING explodes into superheated protons, photons, electrons, and hydrogen and the amount it explodes into increases based on the amount of particles the SING 'consumes'.

To test it, you can wall in a small amount of salt and a few SING particles.

Batman, you can hold Ctrl+Shift and then right click to mass erase an element. It's kind of only useful if you're paused though (I have that same bug).

But all the SING is gone by the time they start exploding.

And when I said they start exploding I mean... actually pretty much what SING is supposed to explode into.

Hold on I'm going to check that save again and make sure there's no SING left over.

EDIT: ...wow I'm a derp, there is still SING left over. Welp that explains that.

I assumed it was just gone because the particles weren't getting sucked into spots or anything, they just start moving in a single direction really fast.

Also, with the "FIND" tool, what is "temporarily", in "temporarily colors it red"? I assume that means it's supposed to deactivate itself after a while, but it's not going away for me, at least not within a reasonable amount of time.

    Hey I found a bug...

In the save, "PWR nuclear power plant" by 321boom (the save is on the second page), I click the large power button, and immediately the game crashes. Using the frame key the crash occurs when the spark from the massive power button hits the WIFI, so it could probably be that...

Wait I have tracked it down to a certain part of the reactor where; in the middle where the salt water is (to the right of the emergency coolant), there is insluated wire that leads down towards the core of the reactor. The wire on the very right activates the PSCN, then activating the PBCN(DEUT). Here the game crashes. I made another save testing this and nothing happened.

Further testing brings me to my final conclusion...

The DEUT from the activated PBCN attempts to enter PRTI. So it's here the game crashes. I deleted the PRTI and its respective PRTO, then sparked the whole save, and there was no crash. I made a new save with just PRTI and PRTO to see if that was the issue. Again, no crash. I thought that it would just be that specific save, so i copied just the core of the reactor with the PRTI and PRTO, and here the game still crashed.

Ok after more testing i traced it all the way to:

When PRTO is placed directly next to ENERGY WALL (also other walls) (also the PRTO has to be touching the wall), liquids and powders that try to travel from PRTI into PRTO cause the game to crash. Maybe because they get stuck in the wall... which isnt supposed to happen i guess??

Anyways it's getting late i need to get to bed...

    Happy programming :)
