july 2011-last post. im guessing its dead

Actually, the last post was in february, any post dates on the forums before April 1 are set to the date of the first post of the thread. I think it is dead though, I haven't done anything in 6 months, or talked to the other developers in longer. You can get the source here though, a final compiled version was never released.

    Me too.

The project is in http://github.com/JavaPowder/TheJavaPowder , but it's somewhat discontinued. Last of the commits were made by @jacob1 , adding circle brushes. It is still in working condition though!

We ( @MasterMind555, @boxmein, @jacob1) have stopped development of it a while ago though.. Mostly because we were bored with it. We do loads of things at once 'til we get bored or until it gets complete enough. Who knows, maybe one day when we're all grown up and better in [INSERT PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE HERE] we will continue it!

    @jacob1!above
If you had a MSN, I would talk to you all the time, it's just that I use MSN the most because my other friends use it.

The main it died was the lack of motivation and the size of the project. If more people would want to participate and help with this huge project, I would sure get back to developpement of it with my perfectionned knowledge.

I have made some recent changes to the readme to allow for more open source friendliness. Now it's Creative Commons Attribution - NoCommercial - ShareAlike, meaning you can do whatever you want, create your very own mod or game based on us, but you have to tell that you derived your work from us and you can't earn money from whatever you do.
All pull requests with sufficiently good elements will be responded to and all developers will be listed. It might turn huge, but that's the way I like it.
Oh, and @firefreak11, thanks for the attention you brought us. Let's see if someone likes our idea. :D
(It's like TPT with a somewhat different syntax!)

Version 0.1 of Java Powder was released today an year ago, on the 26th of July 2011. It had a short flight but I'm cleaning up the Git and wikies for anyone to use it freely.

Edit #15: MasterMind555 and I have been discussing Java Powder now, I suppose it's gonna really happen.
Edit #9001: If that isn't enough to encourage you to try to mod Java Powder, then I don't know what will! :[
Edit #9002: MasterMind555 and I have been making the modding tutorial more in-depth. Yay?

Anyhow, consider this as a silent project that will get back in business if we had a few more people to work with. Anyone interested?
    (Last bump!)
    Edit:
    irc.freenode.net #javapowder
I will be online sometimes, if someone's interested we may talk him/her through the code.

I'll have a look at it sometime when I'm not busy. The project seems interesting!

Yay, awesome! It's not in a perfect state but according to MasterMind555, he does get successful compilations with the current state.

    How to open jar files?

Sorry, I found it "java -jar TheJavaPowder0.9Beta7Opt.jar".
