I don't think that it is the logic that makes TPT slow. It is more likely that all the condition-checking makes it slow.

    Not really no.

The logic has to be done anyway but all the condition checking takes up time. You can't denial that.

Really, we have tried with using function pointers and we did notice a small speed-up of a few fps. Just because a comparison is much to write in C doesn't mean it takes many cycles for the cpu.

Excuses.I don't care.almost everyone else seems to be able to adhere to some standard that i can at least read.

you can understand what i wrote and were going off topic.

    NO !!!!WE DON?T!!!!

So far no-one has managed it. Making powdertoy multithreaded, particularly without breaking existing saves, is a difficult task. If anyone thinks they can do it, feel free to go and do so. Otherwise, please don't complain that it hasn't been done.

Surely a small increase is better than no increase?

We've already switched to pointers, and it has made a very large increase on some saves, as much as 100% more frames per second.

Did you highlight the wrong person? I am very well aware of what changes has been made.

It sounded like you were denying that the changes made any more than 2FPS difference. Sorry.
