Apperantly, some idiot in the R.L. ran into the communication with a rubber chicken and slapped everyone. He then sent out a communication, under the R.L.'s name, to every country, telling them to hand over the nukes or face utter destruction. In his exact words: "gimme all ur nukz or elze i will munch munch yer tanks and eat yer soldiers"
At the same time at a tank producing facility, the R.L. redesigned the gun of the tanks so they're silent-using spring and air cannon technology they.. erm... "borrowed" from other countries. The R.L. is now headed into stealth warfare.

Kydonia initiates a state of Martial Law when the prisoner is found dead. The government controls everything now, and the entire Mainland, along with the other floating cities, are on high alert. LSF regiments, along with a detachment of LCasts and Praetorian Guardsmen, are shipped up to the Star Eagle and the Knight's Sword, two ventral lance Condor Air Fortresses. These troops are being prepped to be sent to the nation (I forget the name, Zylit?) destroy any and all resistance there. Kydonia will not stand for this. CPB point defence lances and ABMs are on full red alert. DefCon 3 is announced. Nothing is getting through to Kydonia.
The Kydonian Inquisition begins interrogating everyone. 5 spies are found, put into paralysis, administered truth serum, and then summarily executed.
Btw, Praetorian Guards are my super soldiers. They are trained from a very young age to be the most lethal killers on the planet. Through muscle augmentation and bone reconstruction, a dozen of them could easily fight off all of the Kydonian Marines and the Legionnary Scout Force with ease, whether in hand to hand combat, vehicular combat, or a firefight.

As the R.L. start building new technologies for the battlefield and use at home, new crazy concepts have been brought up, however most of them being put on hold since the tech level of the country did not allow it, or the resources aren't sufficient enough. (Plasma-Hyperlaser nuclear gun. Really R.L. inventionists?)
However, one idea stood out. The plan was basically to build a long, defendable wall with mounted spring-guns around the territory, along with hidden traps. The jungle will work to their advantage, and the only way to get in and out the R.L. is by underground passages or air vehicles. Problem is, that would take about at least 20 years to build, way too long to prepare for any upcoming wars. So R.L. generals are sent out to look for easily defendable strategic spots, mostly rivers, mountain passes, and swamps.

Kamchatka asks RL for a joined space programme.
1)At the moment, preperations for a space colony of 200 people is being made. With low-grade masurium engines it will take three months to get there and 1 month to settle completly (due next post)
a tiny passing asteroid has caught on to Ceres' gravity making a moon. since carbon has been found on ceres, the crew will bring plants, some animals and insects. The colony will be built underground with windows for the plants. The genertor will be masurium powered.
At its warmest (summer) ceres is 36 degrees celsius. it has an atmosphere, but it shrinks in winter. has oxygen and some water. a single cerian day is 9 hours 4 min. The next ship to arrive after this one will be carrying tones of soil.

ZYLIT. END THIS SHIT.
The A.H.C. sick of the Zylit's involvement in so many scandals, declares that if they won't stop trying to steal A.H.C. research (you can't, I researched lab protection a while back, so technology theft is impossible from the A.H.C.) they will sever all ties with the Zylit and begin sanctioning it so much the EU would be jealous.
The A.H.C. also tells Kydonia to back it off a little with the Zylit. You both have nukes, don't plunge Earth into nuclear war again.
The A.H.C.'s nuclear engine is complete and with that, a working space station with it's own gravity (Those spinning stations you see in Sci-Fi films) will be made in low Earth orbit. It is expected to be done by the end of the next 2 months.

The R.L. accepts the offer of a joint space program.
Right now, one topic has been brought up in a "Government-Citizen" meeting. The use of nuclear weapons. Most question the use of such weapons whether it is for commerical use or warfare. There had also been some unofficial groups in R.L. that opposed such weapons.
