Solid Wind Should Stay

    WIND is not being removed, its just not allowed to exist as a particle for more than a frame.
    during loading it could easily become BRAY and achieve the same results.
    it's not a big deal.

    And that WIND has a heat conductivity of 40, whereas BRAY has its at 251

    I still don't understand why anyone would want or need an invisible element... Is there something wrong with people seeing how your save works? I just find not being able to see elements extremely irritating. (It also means that people make saves like https://powdertoy.co.uk/Browse/View.html?ID=294227 D:)


    I have now turned WIND into a tool. WIND in saves could be translated to DMND when loading (decorated to make it invisible). The element slot could even be reused for something useful.

    I doubt that anything relies on the precise heat conductivity of WIND. But even if there is a save that does, relying on an element that isn't supposed to exist is just asking for trouble. :P

    Besides, you can see solid WIND in Heat view anyway. And with 0 life BRAY, you can just say in the description to view the creation that for best viewing results, use fire display etc.

    Because this conversation has gone on for five pages, mods and devs alike have posted legitimate reasons for why WIND is being removed, have posted saying that an equivilent will be coded in that is exactly the same, and even gone so far as to replace the misplaced element space in saves as said equivalent, I would like to say that this issue has been taken care of.

    There will be something better than solid, invisible WIND and solid invisible BRAY, so end of discussion.

    Going to lock this, discussions like this shouldn't last this long.
