I can see the logic behind discussing TPT performance.
"switches the settings on a game to max out of curiosity"
Turn on fancy mode, Newtonian gravity, place lots of particles etc.
"realises the game looks amazing, but runs at 3 fps"
Seems to describe TPT...
Low TPT framerate - "yes, the thing described in the first post does happen to me and it makes me sad".
High TPT framerate - "no, this doesn't happen to me". -
Jackson, pls. "Turn on fancy mode, Newtonian gravity, place lots of particles etc." : I was talking about the game looking good, not working good - fancy mode doesn't lag because it's not that advanced: I was talking about games like Command and Conquer or stuff where going to max settings makes it horribly slow.

I do hate it when that happens...
like in minecraft, i cant use the far or fancy settings because it slows down the game way too much :/

Fancy mode is extremely capable of lagging. On my laptop, I get 48 fps with some BOMB in nothing mode, 6 fps when in fancy mode. Gravity lensing (defaults to on when Newtonian gravity and fancy mode are on) is also rather slow - on a blank screen, fps decreases from 110 to 17. -
@jacksonmj Try playing Crysis on it :P
