@lorddeath(View Post) It generates a spark when something with it's ctype is nearby. Simon mentioned it on irc:
[03:45] <+Ximon> Also, I think reversible pipe will break saves where pipe is placed in close proximity to PSCN [03:45] <+Ximon> such as when used with STOR [03:46] <jacob1> Yes, but I've only noticed a few saves that were ever broken by it. Maybe something could be changed to make it not break them? (I prevented reversible pipe from working in my mod with non-mod saves, I was going to add a flag setting) ... unrelated stuff ... [03:56] <+Ximon> I think there should be a whole new element, "Powered Pipe" perhaps [03:57] <+Ximon> Also a DTEC element that creates a spark when an element of its ctype is nearby
Also, your computer probably has a virus. Try starting windows in safe mode and see if you can run the antivirus then, that's what I have done before for other people, but my computers never seem to get viruses. If you don't know how to do that, search on the internet or something. Try being on topic in this thread, you should ask somewhere else if you need help.
Edit: (I can't double post), I'll move this to it's own post tomorrow. Edit2: (Or today, it looks like my last post was actually made yesterday, so I can double post again). Edit3: Now that I posted the link, it's getting more than just 1 download (the first one is always me)
Version 19 8/22/12 Update to version 82, with all the things I added to that including powered pipe. Fix comments with '/n' in them not displaying correctly. Fix BRAY/EMBR graphics (PMODE_GLOW), make it easier to find stickmen with FIND tool. Add tpt.outside_airtemp, sets the outside ambient heat temperature. More custom HUD options, plus fix a few bugs with it. Fix H2 and O2 not burning at high temperatures (from Triclops200 in tpt++). Edge loop option.
My favorite thing about this is the edge loop, it's fun to play with. Maybe i'll put it into tpt too, and it would fit in perfectly into tpt++'s simulation option menu (VOID, SOLID, LOOP, and maybe a new EMPTY option for 4 extra pixels of space on the edges).
With tpt++ coming out, I have to convert this mod to c++. I will still keep this mod updated with the latest changes while it's being converted, and convert simulation changes or new elements from tpt++ back into this, since I can't imagine having to play tpt without all my mod's features. Updates on this will be slow, I might not add many new things or anything at all, especially since school is starting and i'll have a lot less time. I haven't even started doing this though, I don't even know how to compile tpt++ yet (it's not compatible with visual studio and i've given up trying to compile it with that).
@lorddeath(View Post) My mod doesn't have an update check/downloading feature (no mods do really), so you'll have to find another way to get it. You could download it then put it on a usb drive. Try clicking one of the blue links in the message of the day, and see if that opens internet explorer (I know someone who had a virus that made windows not know how to open .exe's, and I did something like that to get on the internet and figure out how to fix it)
@The-Fall(View Post) Luckily Simon already did all of the work, I only have to copy and paste things that are already complete into the right spots. Moving the elements over will be very easy (except MOVS and ANIM), but the harder part will be getting the extra menus to work. Nothing in the FAV2/HUD menus are real elements, and they have to change order and description depending on different things. Then I have to look over all the changes I made in each version and port over all the small stuff. I will also have to learn many c++ things while porting it, because I don't know a lot.
@lorddeath(View Post) Okay, but I don't need everyone to post what computer they are using or post the moment they download this.
Jacob i don't know what's going on i can't run your mod or normal powder toy only powder-legacy wtf? it says it has encounered a problm and needs to close we are sorry for the inconvinience.
@lorddeath(View Post) powder-legacy is for computers with older processors that don't support sse2 (I think). This doesn't really make sense though, since you said you were using a "super fast laptop", and that probably means it's newer. I'm not sure why it would happen then. After I compile tpt++, or when I have time, i'll go back and compile a version of powder-legacy so that more people can run it. You should be able to run older versions of my mod though, before I started using sse2, but you probably want the latest version.
