Frickin Asian's are successful, more than western schooling because they have a culture surrounded on the basis of them doing continuous schooling borderlined on excessive. The (South Koreans?) are known for their excessive studying habits; averaging up to (10?) hours of group studying a day. THEY ARE NOW MAKING IT ILLEGAL TO STUDY THAT MUCH. They get together in groups called (tagwongs? Wagtons? I forget the Korean name for their studying groups) and they study in groups up to 40 to 50 in each group. They don't go to sleep until around 11 at night, that's how much they study. They will also usually wake up at around 0600 in the morning. Insane. Americans ranked 17th in the world in general intelligence (in assorted subjects of course) because younger Americans are generally stupid compared to asian people. I don't know a single Asian who isn't obsessed with studying. People say it's "racist" but it really isn't. It's the truth and you know it. American's are becoming less aware of how the world works, and where they should be standing rank wise because they are so used to are seemingly endless supply of success brought upon us by our older generations of hard working Americans. Fucking Media is ruining our generation of kids mentalitys single handedly. Stupid jersey shore shit is making kids into smartass punks who think drugs are cool, and everyone should just have sex and chill back and relax, forget school work, because it's not a big deal, why would it matter when I can just get a highschool equivalency diploma? Hell, it's the new mix of minority (who are now the majority) that's also taking a toll on white Americans. I live in Florida, USA, so I see Mexicans and blacks like no tomorrow. I don't know a single child who is mexican who isn't either illegal or their parents are illegal. We are now being faced with an ever changing ethnicity mix, a jacked up economy, pointless politics and a screwed up newer generation of idiots. Of course, most kids aren't stupid; but things like the media are negatively affecting how kids think about the world. I don't know another single kid who goes on CNN on a regular basis to check or look at the news. Kids are unaware of how far we are slacking behind. The new mentality is that of a second place winner. "oh well we are still doing enough to pass in life, not first but just a life of mediocrity and second place, never accomplishing everything we are capable of.". Stupid tv shows depicting disrespect and rudeness from kids to teachers/adults. It's the rebellious attitude that changes the U.S.'s way of thinking. "I'm some TV hotshot who shows her boobs cause it's 'kewl'." seriously, you probably shouldn't dress like a skank if you are trying to maintain an image of a once respectable and honorable country. No-wonder we get called a corruption from the west; we piss off other country's with our talk of monopolies and corporate empires, and our cheesy western traditions of being disrespectful to and adult/ mentor of any sort. Other countries have guidelines of how to treat others and how to honor your family name. Not dress like a prostitute and say you don't give a damn about your life. I'm personally sick of swing kids who do stuff like this. What has America come to when things like this become common place?

Once, quite a few years ago my Grade 7 teacher told me that he once attended a curriculum meeting where a women gave a speech on her idea on how to mark spelling. She proposed that if the word was spelled at least half right, it would be ticked.

See what's wrong? You could attend a spelling test, spell all the words wrong, and have a chance still of getting 100%, according to this woman's idea.

In another meeting that my old teacher attended, another woman suggested that working out the perimeter of a square is "too hard" for grade 7. She proposed that they should learn to get a string, wrap it around the square and measure it.

Luckily, none of this managed to get into the new school curriculum in Australia, but it is certainly different from 30 years ago, where (in Australia) you could expect to learn how to work out the area of a circle in grade 4, not to mention that it was very strict, almost too strict back then.

Excuse me but I believe you know nothing of what I'm talking about @el-midgeto. Just today one of the Mexicans in my class started to boast about how he had ILLEGAL substances in his backpack. He came to school smoking crack cocaine and I could smell it from a mile away. Mexicans at my school boast about how they supposedly jumped the Border themselves. I fucking hate people trying to compare it to their european situations, it's not the same. Getting back to how different society's work, people say the Mexicans want a better life, bullcrap. All they do is come to America and ruin our economy by taxing our financial limits for Medicare and similar benefits: they comehere and get hammered by pot smoking criminals who give them birth to tons of kids, who by default become united states citizens because they were just born here. It's free for them to eat steak every night and to drive cadillacs and buy alcohol to get buttered up and cause car "accidents" And make our roads inward but my parents have to work their asses off to barely afford a decent meal each night. Of course we are all illegal to a certain degree, but don't be a smartshit and tell me I'm illegal too. You damn well know what I mean when I discuss this. They come here and work for dirt cheap and reproduce like rats. They have in excess of 6 children average and all their kids are born for free using my family's hard earned money, which is given to these pests as a form of tax money taken from me. It costs my parents tons of money for me to get a heart scan to see if I have a heart defect but if a Mexican immigrant needed medical assistance it's free. Gratis. Free. What do you make of that???!!! They dot risk shit to get here in America, they have nothing to begin with. Their lives are so poor they will do anything for a job. They risk their life? Haha, don't make me laugh any harder. They have so many kids that to them if they were to lose little Pedro due to heatstroke during their trip to America, they really wouldn't care. They have no life goals other than that of wanting to get drunk and have sex. That's it. I dot even know why the fuck they go to school. They just skip class and smoke joints in the bathrooms. Am I sounding like a modern hitler? I am just pissed to see human life et waisted like this...

Personally I am okay with poor grammar and spelling if it could not be avoided due to using a sh**ty translator or because English is not a primary language, however, text typing is unacceptable because it is inefficient. You'd get answers much quicker if you use proper spelling or grammar as if you make some sort of intentional butchery of the English language, the first few pages would end up as a flame-fest.
