It is a well known fact and popular belief that things are not always what they seem. For instance, humans always assumed they were the most intelligent creatures inhabiting the planet, instead of the third most intelligent. The second most was of course dolphins who ironically enough knew of the Earth's impending doom and had attempted to warn the humans, however their warnings were badly misinterpreted as jumping into the air to punch footballs or whistling for tidbits. They finally decided to leave Earth by their own means.
Their last message was misinterpreted as a rather sophisticated attempt to do a double backwards summer-salt while whistling the national anthem but in fact translates to this:
"So long, and thanks for all the fish."
