    Possibly by blanking out the text box, but I doubt the forum software would allow that.

    yes it does. the power light blinks red/green alternating and it wont boot the system menu.
    you can do this my turning it off in the middle of a system update.

    ps3 fail rate is 20%-40% less then xbox but some how i still like xbox360
