@pegosh2 You'll have the same IP, two accounts voting up the same saves on the same IP can get you a ban, even if it is your family member/nextdoor neighbour using your internet connection
"abusing multiple accounts for vote fraud or spam is against the rules, using multiple accounts to allow you to vote multiple times will result in a ban." This suggests that you get banned if it is vote fraud or spam. What everybody suggests is that, "Oh pity pity. Too bad, too bad. If it was from the same I.P., banned you are." Maybe the FAQ needs an update then, because our family hasn't broken any rule.
Sooo... The story ends with: I've lost all my works, my little brother lost his, and my parents (who don't really give two-cents about the game) lose theirs. And despite honest use, nobody in authority gives any recompense?
I think that really needs to be dealt with. Either some advisory against family member voting up family members, or some change in the ban method. Unless there is some other reason my entire family got banned?
@ Catelite Instead of being condescending as though I didn't have a legitmate complaint, how about you read my posts fully? I didn't vote for the same save, my brother did. My brother didn't vote for his own save, I did. From our own accounts. The Rules = the FAQ is exactly what my point is. The faq mentions nothing of my family's situation. I believe you deserve a facepalm for superficial reading/flaming.
I believe you need a timout for reading into people's posts far more than they intend. :(
I just said the rules are not the equivilent of the FAQ. FAQ means frequently asked questions, not rules. x_x
If you have the smarts to command all those words, then you shouldn't be defending yourself so adamantly for something that might be possible to reverse if you ask nicely. ...Besides that dunno where Simon's at, I think he's AFK right this moment.
@Catelite Well, whoops on my part for that. *upset yet sincere* But note in the future that your tone of voice in writing is, perhaps only seemingly, condescending. (Ex: "It's not that complicated.")
Other mention of Rules: "This equates making more than one account, and then using that account to vote for your own saves, or even someone else's. " My problem: No member of my family has made more than one account. I feel like I'm talking to the 90's Willy Wonka at the end of the movie.
