The problem with pipe is that it can be destroyed. Also it cannot transmit photons. A one way wall would be useful for transmitting hazardous material (e.g. bomb, antimatter, singularity, thunder, etc.) or for use in high-pressure environments as pipe can shatter.

yer thats what i was thinking, i want to use a 1 way wall for photons

a wall that would allow all particles but no pressure would be great
