Uh.. No. TPT's forums are older than that thread. It was moved ages ago from powder.hardwired.org and some of the code is still HardWIRED's property.

If TPT was in flash, yes, each "Object" would be given an ID, and other informatioin carried within that object. However, TPT is made for pixels, Particles. Note, If we could have moving solids, we would have had them some time ago.

how about if when the pixel particles moved towards gravity (also being affected by pressure) and they were all moving together at the same speed. if any of the partivcles in the group touched something else (i.e. metal and dust then they will stop and move to the left or right(dpending on which one is closer to the source of gravity or low pressure.

p.s. sorry for the bad spelling, no time.

p.p.s. and my brother suggested glue.

It's good and all that you guys want to help with TPT. HOWEVER. Doing what you are doing right now is the equivalent of going to a volunteering organisation, without being a volunteer yourself, and make dictate how _they_ should do things that they do out of free will. It's almost rude and makes you look stupid to be honest.

I have moving solids in my mod, and it works pretty close to your last idea. The total velocity of all the particles is averaged, and when one particle hits something, it increases the velocity a lot in the other direction (it doesn't stop it though). With a lot of particles hitting a surface, the solid bounces away.

I'm planning on improving them for the next version too, making them actually solid inside now that I understand the movement code of tpt. This will make them move into each other much less. There's really no point to suggest ways to do moving solids anymore since they are already done.

i may have a solution to he moving solids problem... keyword MAY, OE-cake... but it's probably incompatible and would require a full rewrite or something...  just thought i'd mention it. i can't find an official website, so just google OE-cake.

Locked by jacob1: necro, and moving solids aren't very possible
