    By the way, there is indeed a iOS port of SDL. Just google "iPhone SDL", without the quotes, to see what I'm talking about.

    Well, I'm not sure. From the URL it would appear to have something to do with Lenny, which is a set of Perl (?) SDL bindings. I went to the page but couldn't tell. I did search the Debian package repository and I couldn't seem to find anything not related to SDL bindings for other languages, but I'll look into it some more.

    It's looking like my best chance is to install iPhone SDL and work with that. I may have to try that.

    As I pointed out before, iOS development can be done equally well in C, C++, and Obj-C, no cocoa required. Trust me, there are apps that have been written in C & C++, just Obj-C is the "language of choice" for making apps, and the one most endorsed by Apple.
