If I ever do that, it won't be in the next update.
Old tpt version 79.2
Stfu, could you do better if so make one and blow his awesome mod away. Didn't think so.
I know. I have decided to restart this mod after the next update using the most recent version of TPT++. This will be called "The Realistic Science Mod". Just a few weeks until I get started on that. (All elements from this mod will be added first.)
The problem with that is that protons are positively charged, like an atomic nucleus. Since both the proton and the nucleus have the same charge, they would repel away from each other. The proton would only attach to the nucleus if it were brought to a very short distance from the nucleus, so that the strong nuclear force, which holds nuclei together, has a greater effect on the proton than the electromagnetic force, which tries to push the proton away from the nucleus. This is why nuclear fusion is difficult to perform in the laboratory, as it takes a lot of energy to push the proton and nucleus close enough together to fuse. Free protons are also a component of the solar wind.
Technically, a free proton is an ionized hydrogen isotope. A regular hydrogen atom is one proton and one electron, though the deuterium isotope adds a neutron. When hydrogen is ionized, it strips away the electron and leaves behind the proton, which is free until it finds another electron. In the case of deuterium, it leaves a particle known as a deuteron, which is a proton bonded with a neutron.
Close enough
Also, alpha radiation would be cool. think about it. when it hit metal it would create a spark because it holds a charge, And, you could have it release helium, because thats what it is. so basically the alpha radiation dies out as it travels and should not even be able to make it acreoss the screen due to the distance through air, and should just decay into helium. which would be cool. Also, i dont know if you are interested, but since powder sim hasnt been getting updated, it would be cool if you could add in the colorized ionized gases. Thanks
Oh yeah, one more thing.... Sulphur does not burn by itself, it burns with things. flames going around a piece of sulphur turn funky colors, the sulphur doesnt go SHWOOFOOPSHIS
