My summer camp was boring. It was 5 days long but felt like an eternity. (Summer time in Florida is quite possibly the hottest it gets nation-wide. Plus with temperamental weather and storm patterns, and outdoor wildlife including but not limited to mesquitos, "summer camp" can be brutal. One night we are drenched in sweat and the next a storm destroys all of the tents in the camp ground. Actually we didn't even have tents. They were just silly canvas flaps over an elevated wood panel flooring. It was miserable. A few of my friends (This was a free school program based around army kind of stuff) actually intentionally got injured just so they could leave because they couldn't take the stress of the camp anymore. One of my friend's cried himself to sleep the first night. All we did the whole day was difficult outdoor activities. We actually went kayaking in a crocodile infested lake. One of the instructors carried a shotgun with him to protect us incase an alligator/crocodile attacked someone. Me and a tent mate threw a fish at an alligator and it grabbed it midair and started to "death roll". I will never forget that crazy camp. D:
