um3k:The new beta is pretty awesome, particularly in the new handling of light. Refraction, dispersion, reflection; lenses and mirrors actually work! Also neat how GLOW changes the color of light based on its temperature. Good work, it was well worth the wait!

The glow/photon colour effect is cool... though it is hard to maintain a consistent temperature for the glow when hot photons are passing through it (unless using min or max temperatures to maintain the glow)
I suggest that there is no heat exchange between photons and glow, so lasers of a homogeneous colour can be produced. -

True, still they last for a little while :

But another known issue: Photons turn green, colored photons don't exist.
